Founded by Chris Macklin and Teagan Peake, Six-Tricks is the Gold Coast’s newest rum and whiskey distillery, tasting room and cocktail bar. It all started eight years ago when Chris, working in sales at the time, attended a bourbon masterclass with his employer. This formative experience led Chris down the distillery path. From a coffee urn in the laundry to a shed and shipping container in the backyard, Chris honed his craft to launch the ambitious Six-Tricks.
Today, our ambition, coupled with state-of-the-art facilities, has led to a unique venue that emphasises local production and fosters creative exploration and education.
Six-Tricks boasts a large commercial distillery that features 2500L and 250L hybrid pot and column stills, as well as 7500L fermentation capacity and 15 hec brewhouse for crafting grain-based spirits from scratch, showcasing our commitment to distillation quality and innovation.
Our forward-thinking artisan distillery is complemented by an indoor cocktail bar, Sunset Deck and private cask hall.
