About

Beenleigh is Australia’s oldest operating distillery, surrounded by both sugarcane and rum distillery history. We created Australia’s original Rum, back before even Coca Cola was invented.

140 years later we’re still crafting small-batch rum the traditional way, at our distillery on the banks of the Albert River in Eagleby QLD.

 

Our Products

Founded in 1884, 140 years later, we’re still making rum the traditional, “boutique” way. Still operating from our original stone building upon the banks of the Albert River at Eagleby.

Still exclusively sourcing Australia’s finest molasses from the country’s only remaining family-owned sugar mill. We then age every drop of our golden liquid gracefully in handmade oak brandy barrels to create Beenleigh’s distinctive, luscious flavour and its velvety smooth finish.

Signature Cocktail

The Spiced and Stormy

Refreshing lime spiced through the Rum and ginger

Ingredients:

  • 60ml Spiced Rum
  • 4 lime wedges
  • 20ml sugar syrup
  • Ginger beer
  • Cinnamon
Method:
  1. In a shaker, add Rum, Sugar Syrup, fresh lime
  2. Muddle lime
  3. Fill shaker with Ice
  4. Shake for 10 seconds
  5. Pour all ingredients into copper mug
  6. Top with crushed ice & ginger beer
  7. Add dehydrated lime wedge & large sprig mint
  8. Fire up touch and shake cinnamon powder over flame on top of mug
  9. Serve with 2 straws
